Action Packed

Group activities often offer the perfect stage for a great teambuilding exercise. Tramping, white water rafting or, for instance, mountain biking, rock climbing or taking a challenging adventure course together will make people unite like nothing else. The Whakatane district offers some excellent opportunities for teambuilding activities, for instance:

Te Urewera National Park
To be found between the Bay of Plenty and Hawkes Bay, this is New Zealand's fourth largest national park. Te Urewera National Park protects the largest area of native forest left in the North Island. For hikers, kayakers and fly-fishing enthusiasts, the main attraction is Lake Waikaremoana. There is an extensive track system at the park and the trek around the lake is regarded as one of New Zealand's 'Great Walks'.
